Security Planning for Stores running Windows XP

On April 8, 2014, security patches and hot fixes for all versions of Windows XP will no longer be available. This means that, after this date, any of your store PCs running Windows XP will be vulnerable to security threats.

Additionally, most third party software providers are not likely to extend support for their applications running on Windows XP, which means even if you are willing to take the security risk involved in continuing to operate your business on a vulnerable operating system you may not be able to update or purchase application software for XP systems.   So plan now to get off of XP by that date.
